Benefits of Hybrid Personal Training

Maybe you’ve been working 1:1 with a trainer and you’re ready to make the transition to working out on your own. Or perhaps the workouts you’ve been doing helped you reach a goal before, but now you’ve been sitting at a plateau and no matter what you try –nothing is getting the scale to move...

There is no one approach to personal training (that’s why it’s called personal training). And many people are finding that hybrid personal training is the way to get a customized fitness plan that suits your needs & can adapt as you go!

It may sound trendy, but the hybrid personal training model has been around for a while. And, you’re in luck: our trainers at Get F.I.T. share the inside scoop on the benefits of hybrid personal training and why you should try it to reach your fitness goals.

What is Hybrid Personal Training?

We’ve all heard of personal training, which involves working with a professional trainer one-on-one to reach your fitness goals. Hybrid training slightly adjusts this model to make training more flexible and easier to align with your busy schedule.

At Get F.I.T., our hybrid training can help you produce some mind-blowing results. First, you’ll receive a workout tailored to your goals. Then, your trainer will reach out with a weekly accountability call to make sure you’re staying on track. You’ll have access to workout routines on your phone as well as a team of people to hold you accountable through the Get F.I.T. Hybrid PT Facebook Group.

Not only does this model maintain social accountability and allow your ‘team’ to motivate each other, but you still receive the same kind of personal attention on form that you get in a one-on-one setting with the accountability calls.

Let’s go over the top 5 benefits of Get F.I.T. hybrid personal training.

Benefit #1: It’s Less Expensive than 1:1 Training

Since your trainer is working with multiple people in the same window of time, studios like Get F.I.T. can charge less money per person while ensuring your trainer is fairly compensated. It’s a win-win when you don’t need the one-on-one support of a personal trainer. Plus, you can put those savings to new workout gear or clothes – whatever you want!

Benefit #2: You’re Motivated by the Whole Group

While the hybrid model requires you to do the work on your own time, this means everyone participating wants to support and inspire each other! There truly is power in numbers, and this kind of social motivation can help you stay focused on your fitness goals.

Benefit #3: You Will Have More Variability in Your Exercise Routines

A hybrid model means you can go wherever you want to exercise. This can include switching up your gym and therefore having access to a variety of equipment and gear to get your muscles burning. You can even meet up with other Get F.I.T. members to complete exercises that need multiple people.

Benefit #4: You Can Find Nice Distractions During Your Workout

While we are all for exercising with mindfulness, sometimes you want to distract yourself from the heavy breathing and sweating. Exercise with a fitness buddy and talk about your weekend plans, or put your favorite binge-worthy Netflix show on the TV.

Creating an exercise environment with pleasant distractions can help you feel more motivated to get moving.

Benefit #5: You Don’t Have to Make it to the Gym

A lot of personal training plans require you to visit a gym for your sessions. This can be very inconvenient, especially if you have children, a chaotic work schedule, or travel.

With a hybrid PT model, you can fit your sessions into your schedule on your own terms. No more headaches of trying to coordinate schedules and micro-manage the hours of the day. Train how you want, when you want. (Don’t worry we’ll check in with you weekly and when you are working out in our studio gym a licensed trainer will be there to support you as needed.
